Pansies are the perfect plant for early summer color. You can plant them outdoors in mid-Spring and enjoy them until summer.

Light
Pansies prefer direct morning sun. Protect them from hot afternoon sun if possible. They can also do well in shade, but may not produce as many blooms.
Pansies will start to fade when temperatures reach 80 degrees or higher.
Water
Pansies do well with consistent moisture throughout. Allow the soil to dry out a bit between waterings. Avoid over-watering, pansies will be more cold-tolerant
Fertilizer
