Dress up your Holiday table with a fresh floral arrangement. Using fall and winter fresh flowers, you can create the perfect centerpiece.
Supplies:
- Fresh flowers of your choice
- Vase or Container
- Floral Preserves
- Shears or Scissors
Step 1
Before placing your flowers in a container, cut the stems on an angle, taking off at least a quarter inch. When you cut the stem on an angle, you’ll exposure fresh tissue, allowing the flower to absorb more water. Then, remove any foliage that will fall below the waterline.
Step 2
Choosing a container can be just as fun as picking out the flowers! Find a container that will show off the flowers best, thinking about their height, color and shape. Consider using a bowl, pitcher or even a beverage glass. Fill the container with fresh, cool water, and add a packet of flower preserve.
Step 3
Start Assembling.
- Start by adding in your mixed greenery
- Next start adding in focal floral such as lillies or hydrangeas.
- Follow by adding in medium size flowers such as roses.
Step 4
Add holiday accents like pine cones or twigs
Step 5
Fill in the gaps with smaller filler flowers for a fuller arrangement
Now this beautiful arrangement can be the focal point of your holiday table this season. Learn more on caring for your cut-flowers or visit one of our English Gardens florist for more information.
