Corn Plants prefer bright, filtered light. A sunny spot a few feet from a window would be ideal. If your plant starts to lose its variegation, it needs a sunnier location.
Protect your Corn Plant from direct sun, the leaves can get sunburned and the plant will start to wilt.
Corn Plants prefer evenly moist soil. Spring through Summer keep the soil damp, but not soggy. So try light waterings, more often. Fall through Winter cut back on watering and allow the top few inches to dry out before watering thoroughly.
Use a balanced liquid plant food diluted by half to feed your Corn Plant. Feed monthly Spring through Fall, and hold off on feedings during the Winter months.
