This new year is still looking a bit different than year’s past. But it is a great time to prioritize your health and wellbeing for 2021. Here are some ways to stay healthy this year.
Create a Tropical Escape
Use plants around your home to create a tropical escape. Consider floor plants for a dramatic effect, or add hanging plants and trailing plants to add interest and texture. Incorporate flowering plants like Anthuriums or Bromeliads to add color, and use decorative pots to complement your decor.

Clean the Air with House Plants
Add one 8 or 10-inch potted plant per 100 square feet to reduce indoor pollutants and increase a room’s humidity. House plants scrub the air of toxins, reduce cold and flu symptoms, and can even decrease respiratory illness symptoms.
Sleep Better
Plants and flowers help relax your mind and body, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. Snake Plants are a good choice for the bedroom, as they emit oxygen at night helping promote sleep. Other good choices for the bedroom include Aloe Vera, which is a great air purifier; Lavender and Rosemary, promote relaxation; English Ivy and Peace Lily increase humidity and help you breathe easier.
