Nursery Sales/Garden Coach – WB

Summary: Associate will use photos and dimensions provided by customers to create a custom landscape design, including plant and supply recommendations, enabling the customer to complete their own DIY project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers at English Gardens stores for scheduled appointments
• With customers’ input, create a custom landscape design to fit their needs and abilities; hand-draw a design that customers can take with them
• Suggest plants and other products that customers will need to complete the project
• Outside of appointment times, assist store operations with customer service/sales

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledgeable, experienced gardener who can draw landscape sketches to scale
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge of plant material (e.g., trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials)
• Organized, detail oriented
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to multi-task and handle overlapping priorities on a daily basis
• “Master Gardener” Certification or a degree in Horticulture is a plus

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a criminal background check

Position Type: Part-time with potential for full-time
