Spring is here and it’s time to think about planting Summer-flowering bulbs for beautiful color. English Gardens has a great selection for 2019. Here’s a look at our new varieties include:
Caladium Florida Sweetheart
Colorful foliage Summer thru Fall. Plant in full to partial sun and six inches apart and two inches deep. This plant is great in containers and will grow 18 inches tall.
Dahlia Milena Fleur
Blooms mid-summer to early fall. Plant in full sun about five inches deep. Will grow about two feet tall and are great as cut flowers.
Dahlia Mixed Blend
Blooms mid-summer to early fall. Plant in full sun, about 18 inches apart and two inches deep. These make great cut flowers.
Strawberry Blush Calla Lily
Blooms mid-summer. Plant in sun or partial sun two inches deep and five inches apart. They can also be planted in pots and make great cut flowers.
Magic Star Double Lily
Blooms mid to late summer. Plant in full to partial sun, nine inches deep and 12 inches apart. Grows up to four feet tall.
Gladiolus Frozen Sparks
Blooms mid-summer to early fall. Plant in full sun at least four inches deep and four inches apart. These make great cut flowers.
Gladiolus Mixed Bouquet
Blooms mid-summer until first frost. Plant in full sun with four bulbs per square foot. These flowers attract hummingbirds and make great cut flowers.
Classic Joy Pippa’s Lily
Blooms late Spring to early summer. Plant in full sun, at least 12 inches apart. These make great cut flowers.
Rose Trillium
Blooms mid to late Spring. Plant in full to partial shade at least 12 inches apart. These flowers are pest resistant. This is not a hardy trillium.
Samba Begonia
Blooms early summer to late fall. Plant in full shade, at least 10 inches apart. Begonias work great in containers and have long-lasting blooms.
