“I can talk to hundreds of people in one day, but none of them compare to the smile you can give me in one minute.”
Sweetest Day on Saturday, October 21, encourages everyone to be generous even in the smallest ways. Remind someone how sweet they are with the sweetest gifts, curated by English Gardens Merchandising Managers.
Chocolate and cocktails, what could be better?
“What I love about these drink mixers from Stonewall Kitchen,” says Lynette Walker, English Gardens Home Décor Buyer, “is that one is great for the morning and the other is a perfect drink for night-time.” Mix one ounce of the Pomegranate Cosmo Mixer with two ounces of vodka and a splash of Cointreau for a delicious night-time drink. After a fun night, wake up to a fantastic Bloody Mary made with the Peppadew Sriracha Bloody Mary Mixer. Simply serve over ice, add your favorite vodka and garnish with celery or pickles.
“I don’t know anything that could be sweeter than ice cream doused in chocolate sauce,” exclaims Lynette. These chocolate and caramel sauces from Stonewall Kitchen pair wonderfully with ice cream or cut fruit.
Indulge with Sanders chocolate and popcorn.
“I’ve made Sanders an essential part of my diet,” Lynette says. Gift Sanders popcorn mixes, such as Pecan-dy and the Motor City mix, along with decadent caramels.
Gift a cuddle-session.
“Every girl wants a stuffed animal to cuddle with,” says Lynette. Hansa stuffed animals are cuddly and soft, the ideal stuffed animal. With a wide range of animals offered, you’re sure to find the perfect gift.
Life isn’t perfect but your outfit can be.
“Burgundy is the prime color for fall fashion! Keep someone looking fashionable with a handbag, hat or gloves,” explains Lynette. Fashion-forward fall essentials are available at English Gardens in Dearborn Heights, Clinton Township, West Bloomfield and Royal Oak. English Gardens in Ann Arbor carries a select collection of hats, scarves and socks.
Give a gift that keeps on giving.
“Fresh flowers are a classic Sweetest Day gift,” explains Debbie Purdue, English Gardens Floral Coordinator. “Leave a lasting impression on your significant other or someone who has battled breast cancer with pink flowers during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to promote prevention, education and early detection.
Additionally, when you make a purchase with English Gardens, during October, you will be asked to round up your purchase to the nearest whole dollar. 100% of the money raised will be donated to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
