I’m sure you’ll agree it’s been quite a year! Since everyone is staying home more, we’ve seen a tremendous demand for our products and services. The pride you take in your homes is evident as we look around our neighborhoods.
Thank you for your business this year. We appreciate your support of our local, family-owned business.
As the holidays approach, we know our stores will see increased customer traffic. Our products and services play an important part in making life beautiful and celebrating the season.
Our seasonal Christmas Centers are now open in all of our retail stores, and we’ve launched an online shopping catalogue with some of our most popular products. Look for even more to be added in the upcoming weeks.
We’ll be hosting our annual Christmas Open House on Sunday, November 1. This beloved, decades-old tradition will be a little different this year, but still features Santa Claus as our guest of honor.
Due to the pandemic, we are foregoing performances from local choirs and our refreshment table. We will, however, give customers a small bag of cookies from Dearborn Italian Bakery, and our 2021 Wall Calendar at our registers. The cookies are a favorite and we wanted to keep that tradition intact.
As in years’ past, our company will donate a portion of sales to Festival of Trees, a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation. The Festival of Trees event with its display of beautifully decorated Christmas trees and gingerbread village was cancelled this year, but we believe it’s important to support their efforts of pediatric research.
Photos with Santa will also be different at this event. We’re offering a socially distant experience where you can bring your camera to take photos with Santa, who will be behind a plexiglass screen. While you won’t have the opportunity to sit next to him, he’ll most certainly be a part of your family portrait. You’ll have the option to remove your mask while you take your photo.
Maintaining social distance is important while waiting in line to visit Santa. The line may be outside at one point, so be sure to dress for the weather.
Keep in mind, we require the following while shopping the indoor or outdoor areas of our store:
- Practice social distance;
- Wear a mask or face covering to cover your mouth and nose; and
- Use a credit or debit card to help maintain contact-less shopping.
If you only have cash, please see a manager before going to the register. Each store has one register accepting cash.
Additionally, we are continuing our strict cleaning procedures. Register areas, counters, door knobs and handles, and other high-touch area are sanitized throughout the day. Shopping carts are cleaned after each use, and available at the front door.
We plan to keep our doors open as much as possible to keep fresh air flowing throughout the store. Be sure to dress for the weather when visiting us.
Again, thank you for your support this year. Let us be the first to wish you a very Merry Christmas.
Together, we’ll get through this!
