Change for Change Program
English Gardens launched our Change for Change program in 2017 as a way of giving back to the community. This program gives customers an opportunity to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or more. Each month, we select one non-profit organization as the recipient of those funds. For the month of October, we are raising money for Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Learn more here.
Here is what you’ve helped us raise so far:
Every 8 minutes The American Red Cross responds to disasters, providing comfort, relief and recovery assistance. The Red Cross responded to approximately 3,450 home fires across Southeast Michigan every year. English Gardens donations helped raise money for the American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign.
Tiny Homes in Detroit is a way for low-income individuals to become homeowners. At least half of the renters are formerly homeless individuals and the rest are low-income seniors or children who have aged out of foster care. They follow a rent-to-own model and each of the homes range in size from 250 to 400 square feet. English Gardens donations funded the building of “The Ambassador” which was one home in the community.
Karmanos is the largest provider of cancer care and research in the state. English Gardens raised funds for breast cancer research through our ‘Baskets for a Cure’ and ‘Change for Change Program’.
This Oak Park based company fights food waste and hunger across Metro Detroit.
